About Jill
I have been gardening since a child, learning about color, texture and plant types from my mom and her mom. I moved to Fresno from Northern California in elementary school. While earning my degree in economics at Fresno State, I worked for a private florist and developed a love for cut flower design.
After years of working for large banks
I have been gardening since a child, learning about color, texture and plant types from my mom and her mom. I moved to Fresno from Northern California in elementary school. While earning my degree in economics at Fresno State, I worked for a private florist and developed a love for cut flower design.
After years of working for large banks in commercial and ag lending, I left the workforce to raise my two smart, wonderful and beautiful daughters. When it was time to go back to work in 2017, I knew it had to be in the garden!
With over 35 years in the valley, I know what thrives and what dies in our harsh climate. I like to keep up and experiment with industry trends and new plants being developed by breeders across the US. I am a proud member of Digging In Association of professional container designers. I have traveled to Miami, Charleston, Chicago and Philadelphia for Digging In conferences.
